This is the last time you receive LHB Linux Digest...in 2025. This has been a productive year despite me getting occupied with personal life as I had my second child this year.

Here are some stats you might find interesting:

We created 7 courses this year: Kubernetes, Terraform, Git, Systemd, Systemd Automation, Linux Networking and AWK.

In 2026, we plan the following new courses and improvements:

  • GitOps video course.
  • Improve Docker and Kubernetes courses by adding videos to them.
  • Essential Python and Go for DevOps.
  • Course on logging and observability.
  • Essential AWS, CI/CD.
  • Hands-on course on eBPF, the new buzzword among Linux syadmins.
  • Practical microcourse on managing servers with automated backups (how it is done in real life).
  • New SSH course for advanced users: We have SSH fundamentals. This will have more advanced topics.
  • More DIY practice labs like this. Basically, you will be provided a scanrio to deploy a service for a specific purpose. This can be achieved on localhost or a test domain (for more real-world feel), and then you replicate the steps on your system. You'll learn by doing it because even if you follow the exact documentation, you are bound to encounter issues and that's the real learning.
  • Playgrounds... at least some sort of easily recretable scenario for practicing a particular topic.
  • Self-hosted software reviews and tutorials
  • Interactive quizzes for most core concepts.
  • And an ambitious goal for creating training programs for LFCS and CKA certifications.
  • Suggestions from you: Our next course may come from your idea or it could come from you as you can also share your expertise.

We saw continuous growth in 2025. We have 27,307 subscribers to this newsletter, with ~38% growth this year. Out of those, 782 people are Pro members. With 127 being lifetime members, a new program we launched a couple of months ago.

We reached the milestone of 150,000 followers on Twitter and 35,000 on Instagram. Our eBooks had 300+ sales via Gumroad (and we don't promote them much).

Membership price increases on 1st Jan 2026...lock your price today โŒ›

So far, Linux Handbook membership costs just $50 a year or $199 for lifetime. Since we are creating so many new courses and content and features, we have to cover the cost by increasing the price to $73 per year and $199 for lifetime.

The increased price will not impact existing members. If you have opted for $50 yearly, you'll continue paying just $50, instead of $73.

As a regular reader of this newsletter, you get to save your money and 'invest' in your learning by opting for the lifetime membership for just $89. For non-subscribers, this price is $139 and it will increase to $199 from 1st Jan.

So add learning Linux and containerization to your new year resolution and future-proof your learning for a single payment.

Last chance to get Lifetime membership for just $89
